Multiple data connections

Hi,

I have two connections: 1. Barchart and 2. IB TWS

I connect to Barchart first and TWS second and I have selected Barchart as the preferred provider for all instrument types historical and realtime in Tools>Options>MarketData

When I enable strategies they load up and say the connection type is TWS on the Control Centre Strategies Tab "Connection" column.

How can I check that my strategies are loading with Barchart data and not IB TWS data? I really don't want them running on TWS data

Thank you for your post.

Your strategy connection is dependent on who you connect to first. Please ensure you are connecting to Barchart first before your IB connection. You can even go as far as to disconnect from IB when starting your Strategy to ensure you are only using Barchart, but to resolve, connect to Barchart before IB.

As I said, I connect to barchart first and Barchart is my preferred connection but the strategies still connect to tws? please re-read my post carefully and advise why this is happening.

If i start a strategy without TWS connected I cannot set the account to the TWS account I can only select SIM101.
