    Errror 2330 when installing

    Installation of NinjaTrader 8 fails due to the following error:

    How to fix it? Unable to install. Also applicable to previous version.

            Hello smaxin,

            Can you please proceed as follows.
            • Rename the Documents-->NinjaTrader 8 folder to "NinjaTrader 8 Old".
            • Double click the NinjaTrader 8 installer file and repair NinjaTrader 8.
            • Delete the newly created Documents-->NinjaTrader 8 folder.
            • Rename the "NinjaTrader 8 Old" folder within the Documents folder back to "NinjaTrader 8".
            • Start NinjaTrader 8.

              Thank you Jason, I was already able to fix it myself. I did something similar. In my situation if was able to get it uninstalled but could not reinstall. My solution was to rename the NT8 folder that was left behind after the uninstall after which I was able to reinstall NT8. I had previously done a backup so I was able to restore my settings. All is well now. Thank you for responding.

                    Can you please uninstall/reinstall NinjaTrader Desktop using the instructions below.
                    • Navigate to the Documents folder in Windows.
                    • Right click the "NinjaTrader 8" folder and select Rename. Name it "NinjaTrader 8 Old". This folder contains all settings and data.
                    • Uninstall NinjaTrader via Windows start menu-->Settings-->Apps.
                    • Reinstall NinjaTrader as per the link below.

                      Hi Jason,

                      there is no Ninja Trader folder in Documents. I am not able to install the programm at all. I was able to install version 7 some months ago.
                      Therefore I can not follow your steps.
                      Are there any other ways you can help me?

                        Can you please download and run the troubleshooter from Microsoft at the link below.


                        Check if you can install NinjaTrader Desktop successful after running the troubleshooter.

                          Hi Jason,

                          the troubleshooter is not able to find any installation regarding ninja trader.

                          By the way, does the webversion offer the same functionalities as the desktop version, especially the paid ad-on "order-flow"?

                            Did the troubleshooter detect and fix any issues after you ran it?

                            If now reboot your computer and try installing NinjaTrader Desktop again, does the error persist?

                              It did not detect anything because the software was not listed. I rebooted, but now the error message is different. There is no pop-up with an Error-Code. Just a general message saying that the setup wizard ended prematurely.
