how many concurrent versions of NT8 can you login to with your NT Account user?

how many concurrent versions of NT8 can you login to with your NT Account user?
i ask this as i can have quite a few machines on the go.
such as:

dev
test
uat
obfuscation signing and installer setup
deployment testing
backtest
staging
pre prod
prod

some of these dont need services such as connections and could be the basic shell offline mode - no thrills just the basic platform features dev,replay,backtest etc

At least two concurrent in all cases between desktops, mobile, and web for the same user entitlement e.g. you can have two desktops or 1 desktop + mobile or 1 desktop + web and can get non-delayed, live data for all from the same user entitlement. Beyond that, it's unclear. Some explicit clarity from NinjaTrader would be really great.

I think we have to carefully distinguish, too, between how many are "allowed to start" (which might be more than can get live data) vs. how many can get streaming data from the same user entitlement with exchange subscriptions.

yes i know it can be up to 2 to for NT8 and NT8 or NT8 and NT web to see the same orders and so on...


- but if we need to use nt8 on many more machines and we have to login to each...
and dont need to be connected on them - for example dev, test and offline work...
what happens i guess is the question... do some logout or just services stop on some prior etc...that would be fine
eg you are logged out of live account as you re logged in on again elsewhere but you can still use the features of NT8 for dev.test etc
or kinetick demo sim etc stocks

if it worked like CQG or kinetick now - that would be great.
after the new max of 2 concurrent - anymore logged in would logout the live account..

but then you could argue i want to use nt8 and still login if need but dont kick off an existing machine... work offline.

ideally we dont want NT to logout to the nt login screen..on the existing.

I agree an offline mode would be ideal, and/or "remember me and keep me signed in" such that once signed in, even if there is no internet if you start up NT Desktop you have the same user entitlements because it remembers you.

Hopefully, NinjaTrader will provide that in 1.1.1.2.

yes agreed

but also the idea that we could for example
login in to 2 instances of NT any flavor... and that is live..

and then login to more in sim only mode - for kinetick sim trading for example or sim trial etc
and not disconnect the 2 live you want on...
and or do the offline thing too

It would helpful if there were an "offline" mode such that you could hold down shift at startup, or give a command line option at startup, or if there is no internet, or if you click a small "Work offline" link on the sign in page, and it would then under any of those three cases start up in "simulation only" mode such that even if there is no internet, it lets you back onto the same user entitlement but with no live trading or live accounts. If you've already used your two live data allotments, it just doesn't have live data (you can do a replay or whatever instead, or use a paid connection like Kinetick if you have internet). Another thing that would be great would be if you've already used your two live data allotments, assuming they're going to limit it, that it could off you the option of starting up in this mode as you start up more instances (for development, or research, or such).

i updated this set of ideas here - the post title is not great but here it is perhaps you got some votes or suggestions on some of the features/ideas?
the crux is the concept of login or work offline and modes of trading/usage. so there are 2 parts to it.
