platform user cannot get latest version.

    platform user cannot get latest version.

    I am asked to log in, or "migrate", or create new account, none of which accept my username/password. I do not have a NT brokerage account, I have a lifetime license. How do I proceed? No one has answered me since 4pm yesterday

    Hello,
    Thank you for your post.

    In order to download the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop you will need to register as a NinjaTrader User.


    Please follow the steps below to create a NinjaTrader user.
    • Navigate to the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
    • On the right select the link "Get Started"
    • Enter your email address and click "Sign Up"
    • Verify your email address
    • Create a username and password
    • Select "Simulation" and complete the form

    Once you have registered a username you may use the steps below to update to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop.
    • Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
    • Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
    • Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window on the main screen
    • Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
      • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer

    When you launch the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop you will be able to login to the platform with the credentials you created with the steps above.

      What these instructions omit, I think, is that once the account is created he should go to his settings and plan, and import his lifetime license.

        I finally after about 15 attempts, was able to create the new account. Now that I've downloaded the latest version, I can't login to the platform because it says a rate limit for too "may" (mispelled on your software?!) login attempts, though I've only tried to log in ONE time.

        How can you have a log-in rate block for a financial platform where people need to adjust positions? this is ridiculous.​

          that dint work for me... there was an additional step
          i had to do that and then set up a new live account to get a new set of creds to use to login to nt and then i was able to access my sim account kinetick etc

              Did you enable Multi Provider in Tools -> Options? Once you checked the Multi Provider box and restarted NT Desktop you should have been able to add your Kinetick and other connections (assuming they didn't convert during upgrade from 8.0).

                  they were all there and fine the problem was the login... had to create a live account to get a login that would work in nt8...

                    User has to email us directly his/her username at support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com, only then we can see the status and unlock if needed.

                        also stop assuming everyone with NT has a NT brokerage account. many of your answers don't apply to platform licensees. Account dashboard? nope. don't have one.
