Where is Trade Performance trades saved?

A funding company that uses Rithmic has asked me to send them a list of all my trades from NinjaTrader's "Trade Performance" export. I'm wondering if this data is stored and generated from local files on the computer where NinjaTrader is installed, or if it pulls the trade history from Rithmic if I run the report while connected.

My concern is that I don't want to lose these files if I ever change my VPS or if they get accidentally deleted during a reinstallation. I would appreciate any information or advice on how to ensure that my trade data is backed up and securely stored.

    Hello MatthewLesko,

Your trade history is stored in the database that is located on your computer at Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->db-->NinjaTrader.sqlite.

You can create a backup file for your database at Control Center-->Tools-->Export-->Backup File.

NinjaTrader_Jason Whilst well-intentioned advice, backups are still "broken" in NT 8.1.1.1: https://forum.ninjatrader.com/forum/...-database-file

      Thanks.

The .sdf file is created in case you want to downgrade to a previous version.

Ummmmm ... but that's not what Backup is there for, NinjaTrader_Jason. It's there to backup the current configuration. If the .sdf file is created, where is the SQLite file backed up?

And more to the point, this bug was introduced in 8.0.27.x, well before 8.1.1.x was even released. Your response is, at best, puzzling; or more simply, just wrong.

          Thanks.

After I created the bug report regarding the .sdf file, I was informed that the .sdf file is needed when a client likes to rollback to a prior version.

Thank you for creating the bug report, NinjaTrader_Jason. That is appreciated. ... But still:
              • The Backup is creating a file named Ninjatrader.sdf BUT it is, in fact, the current Ninjatrader.sqlite file with the wrong name
              • The file is useless as a roll-back file because it is not, in fact, an .sdf file compatible with prior versions
              • The simple fact is that this is still the original bug and not what you were informed: it is the current .sqlite file backed up with the wrong name
              Thanks.
