    NT Version: 8.0.27.1 vs 8.1.1.0

    Good afternoon,
Please, I need your help to confirm or clarify some information regarding the latest update of the platform.

I have version 8.0.27.1 installed on my computer
A few days ago version 8.1.1.0 was released.

I live in Spain (Europe) and a fellow trader in my country has advised me to wait and not yet run the update.
Maybe the advice is a mistake and I would need you to confirm me if I should or not to update my version of the platform or I can wait a few days and continue working well with previous version 8.0.27.1?

On the other hand, I do not know if there are many significant changes between the two versions.
I look forward to your help.

Thank you in advance for your help.
    Best regards.

    Hello,

The functionality of the two platforms is primarily the same, with the largest change being that on 8.1 you will be migrated from a license key to an account plan, although nothing regarding your particular enablements or commissions will be affected. You can currently run either NinjaTrader 8.0.27.1 or NinjaTrader 8.1.1.0 to access your account.

I'd recommend reading through our comprehensive FAQ page linked below which may have valuable information depending on what questions you have:

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Ryan; thank you very much for your response!
I need please if you can clarify the following. In your answer you tell me about the licensing issue of the previous version with respect to the new version.

I confirm that I have a license number from my purchase of the Lifetime version of the platform years ago.
Now I wanted to hire data in real time.
I am worried, I feel like I am in an intermediate situation or between two waters. I don't know if I'm making myself clear.
First I contract real time data and then I upgrade to the new version or do I stay with the previous version?
What steps or instructions should I follow and what do you recommend.
Thank you very much for your help.

Your data subscriptions will function the same on either version of the platform, as your data is pulled from your brokerage account connection rather than the license or account plan. In either version this will pull from your live data/brokerage connection regardless of account plan or license.

          Good morning and good Monday,

As a continuation of my questions of last Monday, March 13.
Please, I need to ask 2 specific questions.
Maybe they are already answered in the forum. But for me they are important.

          Questions:
          1) I have news that a later version has been released which is: 8.1.1.1.1.
Please can you confirm me if it is the latest version today?.
Can you tell me if maybe in a few days another update will be released again?.

          2) If I install version 8.1.1.1.1 on my computer and for any reason, I have to use again version 8.0.27.1.
Can I uninstall the version 8.1.1.1.1, correctly as any Windows program, and I can use again the version 8.0.27.1 without any problem as if I had not had the version 8.1.1.1.1?

I hope I explain myself well in my 2 questions.
Thank you very much for your help.
          Best regards.

            Hello,

8.1.1.1 is the latest version, which was released last week. Updates are being pushed out fairly quickly to implement new features and fixes, but I can't give an exact timeline to any particular release unfortunately.

Should you need to use 8.0.27 you can uninstall 8.1 and reinstall 8.27 from the 'previous releases' section within the account dashboard site.

A direct follow up question for this thread.

I am having too many issues with 8.1.x and I am looking to downgrade to 8.0.

From your perspective, as you might have seen people writing to NT Support for help, have there been more issues reported with 8.1 than 8.0?
