    Manipulating the arc drawing tool

I'd like to create an arc similar to the ones below. It's basically to point out head and shoulders patterns. I assumed that the arc drawing tool would be appropriate for this; however, I can't manipulate it to do this, and I was hoping that you might have some suggestions. There are three handles on the arc. The two end handles adjust the size of the arc's radius. The center handle adjusts the position. Whenever you use the handles to position the arc parallel to the x-axis, the arc becomes a flat line (radius=0). What would be ideal would be to be able to use the center handle to raise the height of the radius from the x-axis to form an arc, but I can't do that. Arcs only form at angles to the window when using the end handles. I looked at the properties for the object, and didn't find anything relevant. Is there a way to achieve this?

    Hello sgordet,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

Unfortunately, I can't see the arc image that you are referencing in your post. Do you mind attempting to add that in a comment so I can better understand the functionality you are looking for?

I look forward to your response.

        Hello sgordet,

        Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, there are only 2 anchor points that can be manipulated by the user with the default Arc drawing tool. This third anchor is exclusively dictated by the position of those anchor points and cannot be manipulated independently. I played around with trying to see if those particular forms were possible using the default Arc, but was unable to replicate them. You'd likely need to have something custom designed by a programmer, either an indicator or custom drawing tool.

Thank you, Zachary. Could you enter this as a user request, i.e., being able to control the radius of the arc while maintaining control over the arc's position on the chart? It seems to me that this is something that many price action traders who mark up their charts would want.
