    Problems with new login system

    Hello,

    I won't start a rant about the changes because others are doing a good job.

    BUT - Since the announcement on the weekend, I've not even been able to create an account. I have tried the Google and email options. I get to this stage, click the signup button, and absolutely nothing happens. No message, no warning, nothing. I must have tried it 20 times over the last few days, and yes, I have restarted my PC, shut down my browser and cleared the cache, and all that other stuff. What good is the new login system if you cannot even create an account? I am now effectively locked out of any use of the new platform (which is not such a problem as I won't be using it by choice), but I would like to at least download the prior version so I have a copy safe, before it is removed.

    Hi pjsmith,

    Just a quick comment on something to try. If you have an ad block extension, disable it for all ninjatrader.com. Some ad block browser extensions will disable some on screen buttons. Worth a try!

      The way I had to get by that hurdle was to open a new private window in Firefox. In Chrome I think you can open an Incognito window. Even after all that, and creating a new account, etc., I am still not able to start up NT8 because the splash sign on window will do absolutely nothing after entering my credentials. No joy yesterday and same for today. Looks like an uninstall and reversion to the previous version for me. This is totally wasting more than two days of my time.

        Hello Support.​

        I'm at the same dead end trying to boot up NT 8.11

        I tried using Google and Explorer as my default Browser but NT won't startup past the LOGIN window.
        I've also checked for any adblocker.

        Steps to reproduce.

        1. Login using Google.
        2. Download Install NT 8.11
        3. Reboot machine
        4. Double click new icon
        5. Sign in using Google
        6. Import License

        After sign-in No other windows open.

        Support Please Advise.

          Hello,

          Just reading some post and see the image of login above. Does that window imply I will need to stop/start NinjaTrader to switch between simulated trading/live broker trading and vice verse?

              You can change to the simulation account via the connections drop down menu without restarting the platform.

                If you are still unable to launch the desktop platform but are able to login to the account dashboard or web platforms, please write into support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com so our support team may look into your account and installation to see what may be occurring.

                If you are unable to login to web/mobile or account dashboard, first try resetting your password and confirming your username. If you are seeing a frozen or unresponsive screen after logging in try clearing browser cookies and cache, as well as making sure you are using the most up to date version of your browser (particularly Chrome).

                Again if you are having issues please don't hesitate to contact our support team for more personal assistance with getting logged on!

                  Are you using Windows 7? If so you are out of luck and this should be asked every time someone has the same issue.

                    The website should just detect if it is Windows 7 and display a message. It's trivial to do. See for instance: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/...ith-javascript. If this is Windows Desktop, it's even easier. There should be an informative message rather than failing in some unexpected way.

                      Its Windows 10.

                      I think it may have something to do with using Google as User ID

                      It would be good to get confirmation for NT Support.

                      I really don't feel it necessary to be BETA and start creating user ID's hoping for the best, that maybe it might work ?

                        Hello,

                        An update was made last night to resolve several login issues, including social sign on options, so please download this version if you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned in the release notes.

                        As mentioned, Windows 7 is not supported and will not connect, so if you are using this OS you will need to update to a supported version to resolve login/use issues there.

                          Hello,

                          I logged in using my Google account and downloaded and installed the latest version available.

                          Restarted new NT
                          Logged in using Goggle
                          NT Control Panel appeared normal

                          I had already imported my license a couple of days ago so everything looked OK.
                          I imported my latest backup and it all compiled successful
                          Opened workspaces and traded in simulator, all worked as normal.

                            I tried the suggestion above of using a browser in private / incognito mode. I tried this with Brave browser. This worked for me!! I was able to create an account and download the latest NT 8 version.
