Live Streaming video sharing NinjaTader screens

    Hi guys,

I am looking to live stream trading sessions but browser based tools like StreamYard and Restream do not work on screen sharing Ninja windows. Any Ninja window, or other application windows appear as black boxes only - albeit with Ninja menu at top (odd) for Ninja windows.

Any experience/advice on how best to achieve live streaming with minimal complications? I am currently looking into Restream with Zoom as a possible solution but if a browser-based, and easy yo use live streaming tool is out there that can share Ninja screens that would be easier, practical and cost effective.

Search forum for "OBS" .. Similar issues with it as well..
There is no effective way of using NT Window as a source..

Your pretty much forced to use entire display as source..
Add source to scene and crop/resize to quadrants desired..

Major Pain, Not Efficient, but only way I've found works..

Depends a bit on whether you want truly live sharing or recording activity for later replay. For the latter (recording), ShareX works on NinjaTrader windows. Doesn't solve the live streaming issue, but helps for retrospective sharing.

      Thanks.

        Thanks Edge,

I have tried quite a good number of browser-based and desktop apps and none show Ninja windows without being full screen. I then tested with a small second monitor and it works fine there on full screen so need to be satisfied with that. A pain as you say but only downside now is having second monitor alongside my superwide monitor! The Dell Display Manager split screens (on superwide screen) do not work either so dual mons it has to be.

Thanks again for taking up your time.

          Thanks.
Thanks for your reply. I already have Camtasia and assorted other programs to create recordings but yes, it is live streaming that is essential. So as noted above, I am going ahead with dual monitor and it works fine for Ninja and other programs I have found that refuse to work on a single monitor setup.

OBS - to YT but up to 30sec lag this can be less with optimization
            Discord - good
            Zoom - good
share the whole screen works best

One of the easiest live screen including voice sharing I have used is the good old Skype. Very simple to use on one monitor while your other monitors function for other charts, etc. It is free for small groups but may cost some fee for a large group.

              Cheers!
