Tried this today with not so good results. Had to run Chrome browser in safe mode in order to complete a new registration. Then downloaded and installed the new version. A safe mode icon was added to the desktop instead of the normal icon. I tried starting it via the safe mode icon but after entering my username and password and clicking Log In, nothing happened. Tried multiple times. I found the regular icon in the start menu and tried starting again, with same results. Now I have a non starting NinjaTrader 8.1.1.0 installed and don't know where to go from here.

Please follow the steps below to send us your log and trace files so we may look into what occurred.

• Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
• Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to support (at) ninjatrader (dot) com
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders

This means the new version will not work on the operating system that many are still using, Windows 7??

Unfortunately NinjaTrader is not supported on Windows 7 as it is no longer supported or updated by Microsoft, so it is missing several key updates regarding SSL certificates that prevents connecting. You would need to update to a version of Windows which is supported by Microsoft to resolve this.
