I’m really only posting here ‘cos I feel rather vindicated, and have appreciated community support forthcoming from fellow Users and Vendors in the past.
I’ve been increasingly critical of NT - Support, Product & Snr Mgmt on these boards, always politely, with the aim of improvement. #Zerotolerance, #Fightback #Ninja-arrogance etc ;-)
Ninja’s response - rather than recognise the substance of my posts was to publicly chastise me for ‘demeaning NinjaTrader and its’ staff’. (To be fair and transparent, after first response to publicly silence me by implied threat of ban, and subsequent offline get me to go away quietly, a more constructive dialogue ensued which suggested some ‘acceptance’ criticisms weren’t without substance).
A cursory glance at the posts since v8.1 cover pretty much *every single issue* I have posted about/criticised previously.
To name a select few:
- Release of version update with code-breaking changes without advance notification (this time not even Vendors, whose businesses are built around the platform, and this was intentional. I hear your pain!)
- release update fix without changing version
- Release Notes (lack thereof)…..
Need I go on….
A big shout-out to all you long-abused UAT early adopters out there ;-) We need you.
I usually just lurk around here when new Releases are put out, to judge if there’s sufficient reason to update, and when it may be safe to do so.
To borrow a good cricketing expression, ‘doesn’t look like we’ll be troubling the score-keeper for a while yet’.
