    Unhandled Exception Error

I'm getting an unhandled exception error using a third-party indicator, the Session TPO Profile by Rancho Dinero. I submitted them my log and trace files, but they believe instead that the NinjaTrader platform team will be able to assist me with this issue as it is out of their product scope.

I often get an unhandled exception error in the chart where I added their indicator. The window tab freezes, and I can't open the chart anymore. It always comes out of the blue, and I don't know what caused it or how to handle it.

The culprit seems to be an SQLite error (17). I uploaded both a trace file and a log.

    Hello Gianpiero,
    Thank you for your post.

After reviewing your log/trace files, that error message can appear for a variety of reasons and one way to find what is causing it is to methodically remove things from that workspace 1-by-1 to figure out what is causing it to appear specifically.
    • Or, you could create a New Workspace > Save it > Then restart NinjaTrader and see if the error still appears.
      • If not, then add things back in 1-by-1 and test the workspace to see if the error is still appearing.
      • If the error comes back, you will know it is being caused by the last thing you added and you can then reach out to that developer for more information on why the error message is appearing and what needs to be done to avoid it moving forward.

Or, you may use the following steps to create a copy of the workspace and then remove things from the copy 1-by-1 until the error stops appearing.
    • Go to the Control Center > Workspaces > Hover over the workspace that made error appear > Click "save as" > Give it a name like "Testing" > Click OK
    • Go back to the Workspaces menu > Hover over the workspace with a green icon next to it > Click save > Restart NinjaTrader
    • Did the error still appear?
      • If yes, remove one entire chart window > Save the workspace > Restart NinjaTrader
        • If the error is still showing, remove another window and keep repeating this process until the unhandled exception disappears
      • Once the error stops appearing, this lets you know it was coming from the last window you removed
      • Go back to the Original Workspace > Do "Save as" again > Call it Testing 2 > Click OK > Save the workspace and restart NinjaTrader
        • Now, go to that specific window and remove Indicators from the chart 1-by-1 > save the workspace > Restart NinjaTrader
        • Once the error stops appearing, you will know that the last thing removed was causing it and you can reach out to the developer for more information on why and what needs to be done to make it stop moving forward.

Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
