    Continuum Username and Password

    Hello,

    How do I find out which data feed I am using (I think its Ninja Trader Continuum), and my username and password for that? My platform crashed yesterday and its been so long since I entered this info in my Connections that I forget. Should've written it down, yeeeshh.

    Thank you for the message.

    With questions like this, it would be recommended to write into NinjaTrader Support directly in the future as the Forum is a publicly facing location so we do not want to discuss any personal or private information here.

    If you are a NinjaTrader Brokerage user, then you would want to use the "NinjaTrader Continuum" connection type.

    To connect to your NinjaTrader Brokerage account in NinjaTrader 8:
    • Within NinjaTrader, go to the Control Center > Connections > Configure
    • Double-click "NinjaTrader Continuum" in the 'Available' list on the top left of the window that opened
    • You will see the new connection appear below in the 'Configured' section
    • In the Properties section on the right side of the window, enter your credentials:
      • Username: You can find your Platform Username in the same location to reset your Platform Password mentioned below
      • Password: Please use the steps below to re-set your NinjaTrader Platform Password and then use it this blank.
    • Make sure the 'Demo' box is NOT checked
    • Click OK
    • Go back to the Control Center > Connections > Click on the connection you just made

    Please use the steps below to find your Platform Username and re-define your NinjaTrader Platform Password:

    You can initiate a platform password reset for your NinjaTrader Brokerage account by following these steps:
    1. Log into your NinjaTrader Client Portal
    2. Navigate to the icon on the upper right hand corner of the page
    3. Select Profile from the drop-down menu
    4. The second section on the page says Platform Password Reset, you will want to select Reset
    5. An email will be sent to the address on file with the account from [email protected] with a link to update your NinjaTrader platform password

      Clayton, I can log into my NTSF, no problems. When I use the same login info for my connection it says invalid. Please advise.

        Thank you for the update.

        I'm not sure what NTSF stands for.

        Please know that the username for your NinjaTrader Online Account Portal will be a different Username and Password from your NinjaTrader Platform Username/Password.

        If you are still unable to connect to your NinjaTrader brokerage account, , please use the steps below to send us a message with your log and trace files attached so we may look into this behavior further:
        • Go to the Control Center > Help > Email Support
        • Select: Platform Technical Support
        • Enter your email as this is what we will be responding to
        • Enter the subject as: Clayton ATTN 03731308"
        • Include any additional information in the Body as desired
        • Ensure the "Log and trace files" box is checked
          • Send the email
        ​Please sent us the requested files and information if you are still unable to connect.

              Thank you for the message.

              The NinjaTrader Forum has a completely separate Username and Password that has nothing to do with connecting in the NinjaTrader platform.


              The Trace File is an alternate type of log file that gives additional details on certain updates. We will always request both as each has specific information we look for that the other doesn't have.

              You are welcome to look at them yourself on your own computer to compare the two.
              • Go to the Documents Folder > NinjaTrader 8 > log folder or trace folder
              • You will notice the file names are the YearMonthDay.Instance of opening that day
              • Double-click the most recent log and trace file from today and compare both

              Either way, if you would like further help and information with your connection, please use the steps previously provided to send us the log and trace files from your platform.
