4 Hour Chart with FXCM Data

    Hi

I am trying to configure 4 Hour candles by configuring a 240 Minute Chart.
I can add 240 to the Minute Row of a Charts Selection Drop Downn Box and select it.
But it still only paints a 1 Minute Chart

Am I trying to do it correctly?
I have seen Data Providers may be the limiting factor I am using FXCM,
But should it not just build a 240 Minute Chart from 1 Minute data?

    Thanks
    Daniel

    Hello Daniel,

When I test this on my end while connected to FXCM, I can't reproduce it. The 1 Minute chart shows 1 Minute bars and the 240 Minute chart shows 240 Minute bars.

Do you load data as expected if you right click in the chart and select 'Reload All Historical Data'?

If you create a brand new 240 Minute chart at Control Center-->New-->Chart without a chart template, does it load 240 Minute bars?

Thankyou Building a chart from scratch DOES work. Which solves my problem.

But I have played around with the "Configuration" option in the IDE Interval Drop Down Selector.
All testing a couple of the NT8 native options updates the chart just fine.
But I tried a couple custom minute configurations and NT8 updates the drop down options... but they will not update the chart.
'Reload All Historical Data' also fails to update to 90 and 240 min custom charts.

I tried this with a chart built from scratch and only NT8 Volume Indicator... to rule out any custom indicators maybe causing a hidden crash.
And custom configure options still don't update the chart.
I suspect NT8 might have some broken functionality on custom configurations.
Which probably means charts cant scroll through custom time frames... it will always require a permenant chart of its own.

I am not concerned so much about that though, I am just happy there is a way to make the chart work.
      Thankyou for your help.
