Old Replay Data

I have old replay market data 2021 of ES futures ( ES_03-21 to ES 12-21) and I would like retrieve Tick data (.ncd files) for all ES futures 2021.

How I can do it ?

Please know that we moved your question to a new Forum thread as it was similar but not actually related to the prior messages in the thread. This is done to ensure the messages and context of the thread are all related to the underlying question at hand.


Please remember that Market Replay Data and Historical Tick Data are two different types of Historical data.

• Just because you have the Market Replay data for that time doesn't mean you have the Historical Tick Data for that time and vice versa.
• You would have to intentionally download the Historical Tick Data for your desired instrument

If you are a NinjaTrader Brokerage User then you will have access to 1 Year worth of Historical Tick Data for most Futures instruments.

• Historical Tick Data is deleted from the servers after 1 year.

To download this data:

• Go to the Control Center > Tools > Historical Data
• Expand the "Download" section
• Select your desired Instrument and date range and ensure the "Tick" box is checked and click Download.

If you need more than 1 year back of Historical Tick Data, then you would need to find a 3rd party Market Data provider and get the market data from them and then import it into your NinjaTrader platform:

I have historical replay data over 1 year but no tick data files. I would like retrieve Tick data (.ncd files) with market data replay files

But these are two separate things.

You don't get one with the other.

You have to download each one separately.

It doesn't matter which type of data you have, or how old,
or how much, there is simply no supported way to convert
from one to the other.

You can't.

NinjaTrader's historical data servers only maintain 1 year of tick data.
(Good reading here.)

Today's date is part of February of 2023, right?

That means historical tick data is available from February 2023 back to
about February 2022 -- as the tick data reaches 1 year old, it is soon
deleted.

Your request is for tick data from 2021 -- that is simply too old.

Other providers provide historical data, but I don't think anyone exceeds
the 1 year retention period offered by NinjaTrader.

If you really need tick data from that year, you'll have to research 3rd party
providers of historical tick data -- and (quite possibly) pay for it.

There are 3rd party companies specializing in historical data, just make
sure you find one that supports NinjaTrader's import requirements.
