I can't open up charts past 1 year ago using tick replay?

Hi, I was just wondering if there's a limit to how far back we can open up charts using tick replay?

When I don't use tick replay I can go back very far.

But if I use tick rpelay I can only go 1 year back.

I'm trying to run a strategy on dates prior to 2022.

    And I need tick replay.

I've tried with Rithmic data feed and NT Continuum.

    Thanks,

    Tarik

Which instrument(s) are you working with?

1 year of historical tick data sounds about right.

    Good reading here.

      Hello Tarik,

      Thank you for your inquiry.

bltdavid beat me to the chase here. With Tick Replay, a 1 tick data series is being loaded alongside the primary data series of the chart. Since that is the case, I would only expect about a year of data to be available as we only store roughly a year of tick data on our servers. Additionally, both the Rithmic and NinjaTrader Continuum (CQG/Continuum) connections do not provide historical data and instead pull historical data from our very own servers so you would not see any difference in the amount of historical data available. I don't think that many data providers would offer much more than a year of tick data at a time, unless you purchase it from a third party source and import it into the platform.

        Typo?

I think you meant to say "... do not provide historical ..."

        Right?
