New orders messing up my average cost

Hey,

I'm having an issue and was wondering if anyone could help me.

Let's say I want to ADD to a position. Instead of adding it to the existing order - it creates a new order and messes up my average cost.

I want to combine ALL orders.

Thank you for the message.

There is no way to "Combine" an order after it has been submitted.

• For example, if you submitted 3 different orders of 1 contract for a total of 3 contracts, that would appear as "3s" in the NinjaTrader platform because all 3 orders are "Stacked" at the same price
• If you instead wanted that to be 1 order for 3 contracts, you would have to cancel the 3 independent orders and then re-submit it as 1 order for 3 contracts. This would appear as the quantity of 3 without the s.

If you are working with ATM Strategies and do not like how the orders and Targets are being placed and scaled into, this can be changed using the "ATM Strategy Selection Mode":
