Is there a maximum number of orders that can be placed at one time?

Suppose I want to use the unmanaged approach and place N sell orders above the market and N buy orders below the market. These are OCO orders, so if the sells trigger then the buys are cancelled, and vice versa. Is there a maximum number of such orders taht I can place at at one time? In other words, what is the maximum value for N?

The NinjaTrader platform will let you place as many orders as you want. The NinjaTrader platform is not the limiting factor here.

• This value is going to depend on your Broker, the total funds in the account, and what kind of limits the exchange has in place.

For example, a NinjaTrader Brokerage user could refer to the following page that shows the Position Limits for each Instrument:
