Assign hot key to make DOM screen or CHART screen active.

    Hello Support,
How to make HOT KEY to be assigned to DOM screen or chart screen for the purpose to make it active?
For example I want to have dedicated 3x hot keys H1-brings DOM1 in focus, H2-brings DOM2 in focus, H3-brings DOM3 in focus etc..
Is there a way to do so?
    Thanks

    Hello GPX10,

Thank you very much for your post.

NinjaTrader itself would not be able to set hotkeys that access specific windows or bring them into the foreground.

While this can be accomplished using third-party macro soft- or hardware, this would, unfortunately, be outside the scope of our technicians.

I would suggest performing an internet search along the lines of "hotkey to focus on a specific window", I was able to find a few applications that should be able to accomplish this using this search.

Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!

GPX10 - another way is to use ‘move mouse to’ and Windows’ ‘make Window active on hover’ function. I programme hot keys to move the mouse to the DOM or Window of choice & make it active
      Hope this is helpful

Bruce - could it be done directly in windows or it requires some extra program?
        Thank You!

          GPX10 two separate parts:
activating a Window automatically when mouse hovers over it is part of Win 10 native Ease of Access - see e.g. here https://www.isunshare.com/windows-10...indows-10.html. If you are happy to move your mouse to the desired Window manually, this will automatically activate wherever the mouse is located.

Moving the mouse to a screen location based on x-y co-ordinates requires 3rd-party software. I use Logitech’s Gaming Software (LGS - being replaced by G Hub) along with a Logitech Gamepad. LGS allows use of ‘LUAScript’ programming language to create a script to send the mouse to x-y coordinates based on your total desktop ‘real estate’.
E.g. I have two PCs with a single mouse linked across both with Microsoft Mouse Without Borders, one with 6 x 4K monitors and one with 2, and have Gamepad Hotkeys programmed to send the mouse to and activate various DOMs and Windows which would otherwise require much mouse-work across such a large amount of Desktop real-estate and likely ultimately result in RSI!

I would expect there are alternatives to LGS under Windows alone with standard keyboard without LGS/Gamepad/LUAScript but don’t know of any myself.
          Best,
