Log Files Question

Hello, Can anybody tell me how to copy and zip a daily log file so I can email it? I've done this a million times but am having difficulties doing this with my log files. Also, why do some log files have a .en extension and some don't? Thanks, trend26

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your daily log files to your email:

• Open the Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to "Documents" > Open the "NinjaTrader 8" folder
• Double Click on the log folder
• Right-click on the daily 'log' file that you would like to send and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the compressed folder(s) as attachments to an email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

The 'en' log file matches the language setting in the Control Center> Tools> Options> Language.

If you set your NinjaTrader platform language to Spanish and restart NinjaTrader, then you would see 'es' for the language suffix, and the next log file would be in Spanish (as would the software itself), with the English 'en' suffix having been replaced by 'es'.

However, the file with no language suffix will always be in English, regardless of the NT language setting. This is due to the fact that most of our technical support team is English based.
