    Data loading issues and policy

I need to understand what is the correct data policy to use Ninjatrader properly.
Today in the middle of the trading day with strong market action on ES and working on tick charts I closed the workspace and reopened it.
All charts had data gaps whereas before they were continuous. The platform started to say a message that made me think that historical data are not available during trading hours and so I couldn't reload them.
    So I have few questions
What is the correct way to avoid these issues?
Using continuum If historical data are not available during trading hours what these hours would be?

    Hello giogio1,

    Thank you for your inquiry.

I'm unfamiliar with the message that you are referring to that you saw appear when you experienced the gap in data earlier. Can you please provide a screenshot of the message that you are referring to?
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.
I look forward to your response.

The top picture shows the gap, prior reconnecting it there were no gaps.
The bottom picture shows another behavior that appeared at the same time, while one cart shows MES data the second chart which is supposed to be identical is stuck in loading. In both cases I am asking only one day data and this is throughout the day it is just not loading.

        Hello giogio1,

        Thank you for your reply.

        Does the issue persist if you request brand new data from the server by clearing your chart cache and historical data from your PC? To do this, follow the steps below;
        • Shut down NinjaTrader.
        • Open the Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > db folder.
        • Delete the sub-folder named 'cache'.
        • Delete the sub-folder named 'tick'.
        • Restart NinjaTrader and test.
I look forward to your response.
