    Chronic alert problems

I have a problem with alerts. Every time I try to create an alert I keep getting an error message. The error message is "You must have al least one alert condition". I clearly have a valid condition entered in the condition window. At first it was just every now and then. Now it's all the time. It has made my Ninjatrader 8 platform almost unusable. I desperately need help with this problem. I am not a programmer. Just a software user. THANKS FOR ANY HELP! MIKE

    Hello Mike S,

    Thank you for your post.

Can you send a screenshot of what you are seeing as well as your alert settings?
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save it as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

Spencer, This is the photo of the alerts window just after hitting the Apply button. This is a very basic alert. I've tried adding more alert conditions. The results are the same. A few weeks ago this problem was intermittent. Now it is constant.
Last week I updated my computer software with the most recent Microsoft update. As I always do, I created a new restore point before the install. After the install, I did have problems with my Ninjatrader passwords. After completing a system restore on my computer, I re-entered my password and account information into Ninjatrader. Everything was back to normal. Then, after a couple of days, this problem became a constant problem. Weeks before the Windows update the problem was intermittent. Hope this background helps. Mike

          Hello Mike S,

          Thank you for your post.

From your screenshot I see that you have a second alert named 'Alert' from when you originally opened the Alert window. This is the cause of the message you are receiving.

You may select this incomplete alert and click 'Remove'.

Please note when opening the Alert window without an alert configured it automatically creates the first alert and you do not need to click 'new' unless you wish to create more than one.
