ATM with 1 "jump" and then trailing

Hi all, I don't know how to set up correctly the following ATM, maybe someone can help?

    - fill in 1 contract at market price with a SL of 15 points

    - if the price moves to +15 points, then with 1 move/jump move the "SL" to +2 points (from the buy price)

    - now if the stock price moves up then the SL (now more TP) keeps on moving up point by point

    - so the max. distance would be 13 points, if the price drops then it should be sold (if no slippage) 13 points to the previous high.

For me is probably the most 2nd point, so how the SL stays until the trade is positive with +15p and then moves at once to +2p.

    Thank you,

    Bart

    Hello bartommy,

    Thank you for your post.
The ATM strategy doesn't have a 'Point' parameter type, so you will need to convert your points to ticks (tick value of your instrument).
If I understand correctly, you are describing an ATM strategy with a runner (no profit target), and both an Auto Breakeven and a Trailing Stop.
You need the Auto Breakeven to use the 'Plus' parameter.

I've attached some screenshots of the parameters for this strategy:

Hi Eduardo, thank you, I did not know how the "breakeven" function works, it's exactly the "jump" that I meant.

But then the trailing does not work as I expected. A bit different scenario: initial SL 19 (clear, we put 19 in first screen); then if the trade is positive and we have +9 ticks, jump to +2 (Profit trigger 9, Plus 2).

How now under "Auto trail" achieve it that the SL should stay at +2 until the trade is >15 and moves from then on only by 1 tick?

      Trade +16, SL at +3
      Trade +17, SL at +4
      Trade +18, SL at +5
      etc.

        Hello bartommy,

        Thank you for your post.

The adjustment you would have to make is to the 'Stop Loss' parameter (in Auto Trail).
To have the stop loss start trailing at a value of +3 ticks, you would set the value of the auto trail stop loss parameter to 12 (15-12= 3).
This would put the value of the stop loss order at 12 ticks below the 15 tick profit trigger.

If you haven't already seen our YouTube playlist on this subject, I highly recommend watching these videos:
