how to get strategy written as word document into ninja

A friend wrote a strategy for me and emailed it as a word document. Can you tell me the steps to take to get it into the ninja script editor so i can name it and compile it.
I don't want to go through strategy builder

Hello waterman,

I would suggest having them export the script because word may have added extra formatting which will cause compile errors. You can still try to use the NinjaScript editor to make a new file and copy/paste the text into the file however that may cause compile errors.

To have them export the script you can send the following link to them with the directions, that will produce an importable zip file. https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...tAsSourceFiles

If you otherwise wanted to try this you just need to make a new strategy using the NinjaScript editor and delete the code out of the file. Then copy the code from the word document into that file and press F5 to compile. If it causes errors you will need to close and remove that script and then press F5 to compile again.
