Compiling

I'm not getting the familiar "bing" sound after compiling code. It's very useful to have this. I've been mucking around in various part of the platform so I'm thinking that I accidentally changed a setting somewhere. Anyway, do you have any suggestions of what I might do to turn this back on?

Thank you for the message.

First make sure your computer volume is turned on, not muted, and turned up where you can hear other things. For example, open YouTube and try playing a video to make sure you are hearing other sounds as well.

Then, within NinjaTrader, are the other sounds working and the compile one is the only one not working? Or are all of the sounds not working?

• If you switch to the Sim101 account and then click to submit a Buy Market Order, do you hear the platform say things?

If you are hearing the platform say things, but the compile sound is not happening, you could make sure the sound file is still selected for that setting.

• Go to the Control Center > Tools > Options > Categories > General > Properties > Sounds > Compiled Successfully, click in the box to the right of it and select the sound file called "Compiled successfully" > Click OK > Now, try compiling again and testing if the sound is heard.

Got it, thanks. I poked around some more, including merely turning the mute setting off, then back on again. Can't believe that's what fixed it, but I don't have any other explanation.
