cannot add text to charts

text is set to hot key f12
when using the hot key or the "text" drawing tool, the text box flashes to appear and then instantly disappears. i cannot enter text on the chart.

Thank you for your post.

This is actually a Drawing Tool bug that is currently being investigated.

Allow me to provide your with a temporary work around found by one of our tech representatives.

When you select the Drawing Tools -> Text

Then when you click on the Chart, keep holding the Left Click Button down, and drag it into the rectangle until the text cursor appears.

ill try it. on my desk top it works, its just the laptop where im having the issue.

Yes, this was reported as resolved with the proceeding updates to the affected version.

I am seeing you are on a previous version of NT8. I would recommend you update to eliminate possible version variables.

To update to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop please follow the steps below.

• Login into the NinjaTrader Account Dashboard
• Click "Download" in the bottom left-hand corner of the sidebar
• Next select "Download" in the "Most Recent Release" Window in the main screen
• Once the installation had downloaded, ensure any previous version of NinjaTrader is closed before running the installation package.
  • Note: You may need to locate this in your "Downloads" folder in a Windows File Explorer

After the installation package is completed you will be able to log into to the latest version of NinjaTrader Desktop with the connection guide linked below:
