    multiple Connections

Hello, I have a Ninjatrader SIM Account with market data subscription and im trading Apex funded accounts with Rithmic.

Is it possible to connect to both at the same time, but default the live chart data to Ninjatrader data, and trade Apex/Rithmic accounts?

Im starting to think Rithmic data feed is too choppy and there seems to be blank spots on my daily charts that come and go. They are also down alot over the weekend and I cant download replay data etc. So I would like for my trades to be through Rithmic and the Data to be Ninjatrader.

    Hello JesseOffshore,

    Thank you for the message.

Yes, you are able to be connected to multiple connections at the same time within NinjaTrader.

So yes, you can connect to your Apex account and a NinjaTrader Brokerage Account and use the Market Data coming from the NinjaTrader Continuum connection to place trades on the Apex account with.

You would first need to get a Free, Leased, or Lifetime License key from NinjaTrader as the License Key that Apex provided you with will ONLY let you connect to the Apex Brokerage.Once you sign up for the License Key, it will be emailed to you and then you need to manually enter it into the Control Center > Help > License Key

From there you would then be able to set up and connect to both of the accounts/connections.

Finally, you would want to set up the Preferred Data by provider to use the NinjaTrader Continuum connection type for Futures market data. Please visit and follow along with the link below for more specific instructions:

I already have a ninjatrader @SIM license key so I will use that.

What is the difference in live market data and historical data? I understand the instructions you sent, just unclear what historical data does.

        Hello JesseOffshore,

        Thank you for the message.

Please know that the @SIM is the SIMulation License Key and will not provide the ability to see a Live account within the Platform.
        • The Simulation license key only allows for Simulated trading.
If you want to use your live accounts from both brokerages you would have to upgrade to a Free, Leased, or Lifetime License key as previously mentioned.

Real-time data is coming from the broker/market data provider in real-time and is what is used to update the real-time prices in the platform.

Historical data is used to load in the Historical Information and data on the chart so that there are bars to the left of the most current bar. Please let us know if we may provide any further assistance.
