Rithmic Disconnection Bug

Hi there,

I want to report a bug.

Description:
Rithmic disconnects and will not reconnect after Debugging / Breakpoint

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect to a rithmic data-feed 1 minute chart any instrument
2. Place any indicator on chart
3. Open Ninjascript editor, right click, select debug mode and rebuild
4. Launch visual studio NinjaTrader.Custom.sln project
5. Attach visual studio debugger to Ninjatrader.exe (Debug Menu > AttachTo > Ninjatrader.exe)
6. Place breakpoint in OnBarUpdate in indicator from (2) and leave the debugger at the breakpoint.
7. Wait a few minutes
8. Detach debugger

Expected result:
Rithmic should automatically reconnect after timing-out during debug session/breakpoint as other broker connections do (e.g. CQG/ Forex.com) - Rithmic should do the same.

Actual Result:
Rithmic connection is frozen (yellow light) and will not reconnect until manually disconnected and reconnected while other broker connections automatically reconnect.

The entire NinjaTrader Platform process is stopped while on that break point which causes the connection loss, so this is expected.

However, the connection failing to re-establish would be unexpected. I will investigate and report to our development.

I'll update you once I have more information. I appreciate your patience.

I've received tracking ID # NTEIGHT-15720 for this issue where the rithmic connection does not reconnect.

As new releases of NinjaTrader become available, please check the release notes for this ID.
