Alerts on an Automated Strategy?

Hi,

Is it possible to set up an alert on an automated strategy so that every time a trade triggers it sends me an email notification or a text instantly?

Is this a strategy that you are creating? If so you can send emails using the Share action. That relies on setting up a Share service for the email that you wanted to send from.

It's not one that I created. It's a third party system that I bought for NT. Is that possible?

Its not possible to alter that strategy to produce emails if it wasn't programmed to do so, you could contact the vendor if you wanted that feature added. You can create scripts that listen to the account events like when orders are filled so it would still be possible to do this if you created your own script to send the emails. The platform otherwise doesn't have a feature to email you upon trades specifically.

I understand. Is it possible to create a script that listens to the events of the account so it can send an email and text to two different emails and two different phone numbers?

Yes that is possible, you can use any share services that you configure in the options menu to be used for sending emails or text messages. To listen to account events you can use the addon framework from an Indicator. There is an example of subscribing to an accounts events in the following link. You could use the ExecutionUpdate event to monitor for fills and send emails from that event using the Share method.
