Hello MannyManuel,
Thank you for your post!
To close part of a position with a hot key, you could use "Sell Market" for a long position and "Buy Market" for a short position. You would need to adjust the quantity to your desired first in your order entry window but then you would press the hot key to Buy or Sell Market after adjusting desired quantity. Below is a short video demonstration with and without an ATM position:Please let me know if further assistance is needed!Kennedy M.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Hello NinjaTrader_Kennedy
Thanks for your reply!
This is awesome thanks but the problem with the method that you explain would be on the ATM strategy selection mode, it work great if the option, "select active ATM strategy on order submission" is selected in the chart trader. but with this option every time that I add to my position it will keep the same target and stop loss unless I manually separate and move them... On the other hand, the option "Keep selected ATM strategy Template on order submission" will create a new bracket short if I try to close a long position and vice versa, using the method that you explain...
Hope I have explain my self well for you to understand my point, and honestly, Nothing better then to be fast, quick on your reaction, less clicking and more money.... Hope they add this option of closing partial of a position without the need of giving work to the trader...

Hello MannyManuel,
If you have "Keep selected ATM strategy template on order submission" enabled, you would need to select the active strategy in the ATM drop-down prior to using the hot key (the one with the lightning bolt). So you would select the Active strategy in the ATM drop-down > change quantity > use the hot key. Below is a short video demonstration with this:Please let me know if further assistance is needed.Kennedy M.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Hello NinjaTrader_Kennedy
Thanks for your reply! Once again
Basically, it is the same thing as having "Select active ATM strategy on order submission" enabled, but now manually I would have to select the Active strategy in the ATM drop-down in order to reduce the position size and not create a new bracket on the opposite direction....
I really appreciate your help, but those two option that you mention aren't good with my strategy... The best option still is the one I ask at the beginning, an option in the Categories of Order Entry, to close part, percentage or contracts of an open position and able to close those bracket or reduce their size as "Select active ATM strategy on order submission" does when is enabled, but having "Keep selected ATM strategy template on order submission" enabled...

Hello
I have my custom strategy. In my strategy I use AtmStrategyCreate() with an ATM template name to enter a position. If I change configurations in ATM template name do I need to disable and enable strategy to take effect?
Also, my ATM template is configured as follows
Order Quantity: 1
Parameter Type: Tickers
Target 1:
Profit: 40 tickers
Stop Loss: 80 tickers
Auto Breakeven
Profit Trigger: 32 tickers
Plus: 12 tickers
What I see is 2 entries
Entry 1:
Buy 1 contract: filed price 19814.5
Sell Limit: filled price 19824.5 (+10 points)
Entry 2:
Buy 1 contract filed price 19825
Sell Stop Market filled price 19825 (+3 points from entry 2 price)
My question: is that the way ATM work? Per my understanding it should have not trigger Sell Limit on entry 1 above and should have only one entry (1 contract) in any case, right? If so why it triggered 2 entries here?
