Hello vlad2017,
Sorry I'm not quite sure what is referred with "stop residing". Could you please clarify?
It is as expected in the latest version (8.0.27.1) that the Historical Data window comes up when you connect to the Playback connection. Unfortunately this can't be changed. If you click Continue in the lower right corner, the Historical Data window will go away and you will see the Playback control window.
Please see the release notes at the link below.
Historical Data window tabs unified and displays prior to connecting to Playback

Hi NinjaTrader_Jason
Thank you for response. My situation:
In Control Center menu i open Historical Data window.
Its shows up. I want to change height size of this window
interesting i can only increase height of this window, but not make it smaller height.
Width size working fine.
Everything else working fine.
The problem is that window is too big.
The same things happening after i start connect to "Playback connection". Historical Data window shows up and I can not make smaller height size
Thanks.Last edited by vlad2017; 01-05-2023, 02:51 PM.

Unfortunately this is as expected as well with the latest version. The Historical Data window can't be made smaller in height.
I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team. I will follow up with an internal tracking number for your reference as soon as it is created.
Thanks in advance for your patience.

I have a similar issue, there is a bug with the window.
It will not drag to resize vertically.
Hitting download for an asset does not close the window.
There is no close button for the window.
There is no cancel button on the window.
No other function is available whilst this window is open.
It is impossible to get rid of this window!
Effectively, if/when I accidentally open it (which I just did) I have to completely shutdown NT8 and restart all of my strategies...

Hello TradingAssassin,
When you connect to the Playback and it opens the Historical Data window, you should have the Continue button in the lower right corner. Clicking this button will close the Historical Data window and subsequently you will get the Playback control window.
Do you not have the Continue button at all or could it be off-screen? If off-screen, please click and hold the left mouse button on top of the Historical Data window (encircled red space in the screenshot) and then move it upwards until you see the Continue button.

Am I correct you open the Historical Data window at Control Center-->Tools? I see a red X in the upper right corner of the Historical Data window. If you connect to the Playback, the Historical Data window that opens does not have this red X.
If you open the Historical Data window at Control Center-->Tools, it does not have the Continue button. Only when you connect to the Playback, the Historical Data window will have the Continue button.
If you click 'Get Market Replay data', are you able to access the Instrument and Date fields as well as the Download button?
