You can record a hot key for a new chart in the Tools -> Hot keys window under Global -> New if you like.

I don't have to create a new chart but select a specific chart that is already open.

Hello Guru73,

The hot key you would record. Meaning you would set this to the hot key of your choosing, as long it is not being used for something else.

To select an active window in Microsoft windows, hit Alt + tab.
