ES Rollover Dates ?

Your rollover dates have changed. Why?

That is, Control Center/ Tools/ Instruments/ Future/ ES/ Contract Months produces a list of contracts. Clicking on one of those contracts shows the Rollover date. For the last several years (from the beginning ?) that date was the Thursday in the week before the actual rollover date. However, starting with the ES 09-22 contract, that date is the Monday before the actual rollover date. Why the change?

These dates are provided to us by CQG so we do not have the exact reason for the change but you are able to edit these dates to your preference.

#spottysallrite - if you search back in the Forum to the Thurs rollover date you’ll find the info.
Short summary - CME changed US Equity Index Futures from Thurs to following Monday. There’s an announcement on CME website, copied to thread here. My broker notified me. Ninja modified the date but only on ES, not YM etc. Presumably Ninja brokerage did not notify their customers (I don’t know - I am not a customer), it is conjecture based on the comments in the thread and the consequences re: rollover messages, rollover function not working etc. NT subsequently updated the other Equities rollovers in line with CME so I expect all will be in order next roll.

Bruce, thank you for the info. I poked around the CME website, but couldn't find the announcement that you said is there. And, I searched on the Forum here for that info, and couldn't find it here either. So, would you be so kind as to provide the links to those pages?

all I had to do was type ‘rollover’ into search bar. As said, I got notification from my broker with CME quote & link but don’t have email any more. But the quote in linked thread is a direct quote from AMP from CME. Refine your search skills & in sure it will be on CME, or try search AMP website
