    Dont have CQG as a connection option

    Recently came back to trading and I cant seem to connect to my live account since there is no cqg option in my available connections tab, I haven't used the account in a couple months so dont know if there is something else i need to do to reactivate my account. ive tried uninstalling and re downloading and even tried my username and password on all the other optionms but cant seem to find a way to fix the issue.

    Thank you for your post.

    Please follow the steps below to send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what is occurring. Please be sure to reference this Forum post and send them to ATTN: Dennis.
    • Open Windows File Explorer (hotkey = Windows key + E) Then navigate to, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents") > 'NinjaTrader 8' folder
    • Right-click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email support[at]ninjatrader[dot]com with the subject ATTNennis
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      Hey, I have the exact same issue. I have not traded for a couple of years now, and I do not see CQG. Did you get this resolved?

      I have a lifetime licence, bought in 2018, I read a post about it may be when the licence was purchased...

              I think you need to use Ninjatrader Continuum. Make sure the "Demo" box is not checked.

                NinjaTrader_Dennis NinjaTrader_ChelseaB NinjaTrader_Jim -- Is Continuum now CQG? Or a locked-brokerage version of CQG?

                I have a CQG data/routing account currently setup through QTrader with RJ O'brien (RJO) -- Is there any way to setup an independent CQG data/routing connection within NT that will connect to my CQG service hosted by RJO? I have heard that RJO can and has hosted NT for professional traders with block accounts, but I don't see an option to add my CQG account to the connections configuration page within NT. If NT no longer supports independent broker/FCM CQG connections, will they in the future? Or can this still be done so that NT can be used with CQG<->RJO?

                  Hello afcmaff,

                  It would only be possible to use NinjaTrader with RJO if you had a live license key prior to July of 2014. If you want us to check your eligibility, you can send an email to support[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com. Please be sure to include your license key, which can be found under Help > License Key.
