    Existing Order Flow Volumetric BidAsk style charts/data series stopped working

    Hi All,

    First post on here. Last night, I was tweaking and building out some order flow volumetric bid/ask style charts with no problem. I set up a bunch for my workspace and was happy with how they turned out. Then, late last night (11p EST or so) I noticed one of the volumetric charts stopped displaying. Tried to get it to refresh by changing from a 5 min to a 1 min, etc. chart to no avail. The other volumetric charts soon stopped working as well as I tried to refresh their parameters.

    Please note that when I go to create a new volumetric chart, it works... Ideally, I would like to not have to rebuild everything in my workspace if there's an easy way to push a refresh through.

    Currently, I'm trying a reload of all historical data, but it's taking forever and not sure if anything will come of it.

    Data feeds: Kinetick real-time with level II's (wonder if there might have been a temporary data feed disruption or something... like I noted earlier, I can now recreate the charts if need be).
    Ninjatrader v. 8.0.27.1 64-bit on Win 11 Pro 10.0.22621 Build 22621
    Lifetime multi-broker license

    Any way to salvage my existing set-ups? I have the logs and trace files ready

    Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader support forums!

    So I may better assist you, please answer the following:
    • When you mention that the volumetric charts stopped displaying/stopped working, do you mean that the data was updating and then stopped but the data that had already loaded stayed on the chart, or that all of the volumetric data was removed from the chart, or something else?
    • Did you receive any error messages on the screen or on the Log tab of the Control Center?
    • What instrument(s), and expiry if applicable, were you trying to load this data for?
    If possible, please provide a screenshot showing what you are referring to.
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 10 or newer I would recommend using the Windows Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save it as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

      Hi Emily,

      Basically, the volumetric historical data that was already loaded stopped displaying in all the charts at a certain point while markets were closed. I was able to resolve the issue by reloading all historical data for the chart. This process did take awhile to complete, but as the markets opened, new data came in as expected while the reload of historical data processed. This was for ES mini futures. I should be all set now.
