    Chart streaming ^DJIA

In creating a NinjaTrader 8 Chart, and specifying ^DJIA there is Historical Back Fill, but there is
no streaming of real time data.

In Symbol Map for DJIA for the NinjaTrader Continuum entry, I have put DJI. This is confirmed by the log file to resolve
at Continuum as X.US.DJI but it says "DJI is not enabled for real-time quotes and trading."

Of course the Index is not tradable; but I thought it should be real time available. I have CBOT Level 1
data subscription active. And have designated Preferred Index provider to be NinjaTrader Continuum
for both Historical and Real Time.

Why is Historical Backfill only, on the chart; and what must I do to enable real time streaming of the ^DJIA on
    the Charts?

    Thank You !!

    Hello Hyper,

The ^DJIA index is not part of the CBOT data package, so you are not enabled for realtime data. It is included in the Dow & Key indices package.

You can choose what market data you would like enabled for your account from the Client Portal.

After logging in, please follow the steps outlined here. In the future, if you want to update or cancel any data subscriptions those steps can be found
    here .

Thank You ! I subscribed to the Dow & Key Indices package. Then, after having done research yesterday on CQG Continuum's symbol id for the Dow Jones Industrial Average symbol, I found that it was X.US.DJI . For my NinjaTrader chart I used ^DJIA as the symbol; but this is translated in the Tools/Instruments Symbol Map for NinjaTrader Continuum by entering "DJI" (not DJIA) and this is recognized, and it streams !!! So, ^DJIA is translated to X.US.DJI for NinjaTrader Continuum symbol map. I am sure there may be another *simpler* configuration, but I think I'm happy with this. Was not that straightforward for me, but Thank You for the timely help !! Using upgrade NinjaTrader version 8.0.27

^DJIA is fine. But I don't understand why the DJIA apparently isn't even listed in the DOW and Key Indices "View All" list ?? So now I tried to get the ^NDX and I don't seem to have a subscription for that from NinjaTrader Continuum. Do you know what subscription, and Symbol Mapping, that I would need for the ^NDX streaming index ?

I used the same pattern which worked at NinjaTrader Continuum for ^DJIA; but now for the ^NDX symbol which should be X.US.NQCOMP at Continuum, so NQCOMP was my entry in the Symbol Mapping for ^NDX. Also tried the default NDX Symbol Mapping entry, and neither is "enabled for real-time quotes" according to the Log file entries....

Either the Symbol Mappings I tried are wrong, or I don't have a subscription to ^NDX from the NinjaTrader Continuum source, or there's a different source for ^NDX required...

        THANKS !!

The ^NDX index is part of the NASDAQ OMX Global indices package. It is not included in the Dow & Key indices package.

The default instrument mapping of NDX should work once enabled. If not, please let me know.
