Intraday margin definition and setting?

Hello,

In the Accounts tab under Control Center, there is a column named "Intraday margin", please help me with the following questions:
1, How do you compute that?
2, If my initial deposit to my account is $25,000 what is my intraday margin?
3, If I close my position daily, does the intraday margin comes into play? If so, how does it affect my position (using $25,000 initial deposit as an example).
4, Can we change the intraday margin?

Thank you for your post.


The intraday margin column will be blank unless you are actively in a position. It will then reflect the amount of margin that is being used by that position. If I had a position of 1 on NQ, the Intraday Margin column would reflect a value of 1000.

Intraday margins apply during the hours of 5:00pm CT (Session open) until 3:45pm CT (the next day).

Hello Oxanna,

Thank you for your email, am I right to understand the Intraday Margin is really the minimum margin requirement for active trade? In other words, if the Intraday Margin says $1000, and I have $25,000 in my account, therefore it will not impact my active trade?
