I have tried applying the fixes here...

Scenario: I downloaded and installed NinjaTrader 8.0.26.1 and now can't get back in due to message "Unable to load custom assembly. Original version restored. You need to recompile your custom Ninjascript files". I moved the few custom indicators in "Indicators" to a sub-folder and did a repair but it didn't

My Documents Path is not Standard...

I have not used Ninja Trader in since Feb 2022, I have logged in and migrated my account, but I can't seem to get Ninja Trader 8 working..... It's worked in the past, so maybe something was changed in the last 8 months?

    Here is my System Information..

    Hello ntcat,

Thank you very much for your post.

NinjaTrader requires the Documents folder to be locally saved, to be able to access it. A remote folder, e.g. on a shared network drive or NAS causes issues when the platform attempts to read or write and would explain these errors.

Are you able to move the Documents folder to a local drive? This should resolve the errors.

Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!

Can you move the Documents folder to a local drive? I am not.

Is there a flag to define the path of the saved files instead of using the default path of %Documents% keyword?

Adobe Cloud, and Steam (Game Platform) does not have an issue with reading or writing from the NAS, my entire profile is on the NAS, not on the local C:/

      Thanks.

        Hello ntcat,]

Thank you very much for your reply.

While you may move your Documents folder (by right-clicking "Documents", selecting Properties and Location), it would not be possible to custom-set which folder NinjaTrader uses at this time, separate from the Documents folder.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of a method to avoid errors when NinjaTrader accesses a network-mapped folder, as the platform expects this folder on a local hard drive.

Please don't hesitate to let me know, should you have any further questions!

I think I got a workaround, I have a network VM image that pulls from the NAS, and it seems to work, as the VM image is accessing C:/ as far as it's concerned. I am a little worried that it's pulling from an image, which may slow down tick data, I might have to invest in a remote PC to load up Ninja Trader 8
