Entering a Trailing stop on a live trade

Sorry, this is my first post and not certain if this is the place to ask. I've looked through as many videos on Trailing stops as I can find and also I have scanned the forum. Yet I cannot find a way to place a trailing stop on an existing trade to implement when I have to walk away from the screens.

Is there a simple way to place, say, a 50 tick stop on a live trade or must I enter the trade with a ATM generated trailing stop?

Thank you for your post.
It is possible to Enable/Disable the Trailing Stop by right-clicking on the stop loss order, selecting an option from the 'Auto-Trail' menu.

In the image below, you can see that Auto Trail is currently enabled. By selecting the "Enable" menu item, you can enable or in this example disable the Auto Trail. You can change the auto-trail parameters by selecting the "Auto Trail Properties" menu item when Auto Trail is disabled.

When I do that, I do not view the lower two options. Auto Breakeven and Auto Trail.

I thought there may be a toggle in Properties to turn them on but I don't see anything. I tried looking at Tools as well. Is there a toggle to make those two fields function?


I would post a picture but I do not know how to allow the selected tabs to stay visible while using Snip.

From your screenshot, this will be expected as you are attempting to edit a Stop Market order that is not part of an ATM Strategy. In order for the Auto Breakeven and Auto Trail settings to appear when you right-click on an order, it will need to be a Stop Loss that is part of an ATM Strategy and not a standalone Stop Market or Stop Limit order.

So the answer to the original question is, I cannot place a trailing stop on an existing trade that was entered without a ATM Strategy. Do I have that correct?
