Bug when starting Ninjatrader

Today I started Ninjatrader and suddenly got this error message. On de background it seems to start.
Can this bug/message be handled/catched?

This message can be seen when the Windows Controlled Folder Access is turned On and is preventing NinjaTrader from modifying the folders as needed. It is also possible the Windows Firewall or an Antivirus software could be preventing the platform from accessing the files as well.


Please follow the steps in the order presented below to resolve this error message. Try to open NinjaTrader again between each of the tests below.

Windows Controlled Folder Access

Ensure that the Windows Controlled Folder Access is not preventing you from accessing/modifying the necessary files and folders:

• From your Windows desktop, select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security > Virus & threat protection.
• Under Virus & threat protection settings, select Manage settings.
• Under Controlled folder access, select Manage Controlled folder access.
• Switch the Controlled folder access setting to Off.

Windows Firewall

Ensure that NinjaTrader has been allowed through the Windows Firewall on all networks. Please follow along with this infographic:

Antivirus Software

Ensure that NinjaTrader has been added to any 'Exceptions' or 'Allowed Programs/Apps' kind of list within your antivirus software.

• If you need to add NinjaTrader manually, the file path is as follows:

• This PC > Local Disk (C:\ > Program Files > NinjaTrader 8 > bin64 > NinjaTrader.exe

Seemed I started ninjatrader twice. First click it didn't start, at least that's what I thought. Second click started ninjatrader together with this error.
So it's a case where ninjatrader is started twice- but the error is not catched for unique situation.
