Error during Playback: Stop Price cannot be changed

Hello,
Trying to run a strategy on Playback, and I'm getting this error. Once it starts, it repeats ad infinitum. It can only be stopped by crashing/exiting NT8. However, the developer of the strategy is not able to replicate it.



It seems to me this has to be a setting somewhere on the strategy window.

Thank you for the note.

I would like to do a test to see if this behavior is specific to this NinjaScript Strategy, or if there is something deeper going on with all NinjaScript Strategies.

• Restart NinjaTrader
• Connect to the Playback connection
• Right-click on the Strategies tab > New Strategy > Select the "Sample MA Crossover" > Select the Playback101 account > Enable the strategy > Click OK
• Now, test this Strategy and see if it is generating the same errors.

If it is not generating errors, then this would mean the errors are coming from your NinjaScript Strategy specifically and you will need to reach back out to the developer for further help and information on why the messages are appearing and what needs to be done so that they are no longer appearing.

• If your developer is unsure of why the errors are happening then have them reach out to our support team directly so they may learn why this is happening and provide you with more help and information once they learn.

If the Sample MA Crossover results in the same errors, are you using the Market Replay data or Historical Market Data for the Playback connection?

Hi Clayton,

I don't believe that the strategy you're referring to is a good comparison. The one I'm using has STOPS and PROFIT targets that are set for each trade. I believe the Sample MA Crossover has neither. It's just Entering Longs and Shorts. It's too simple to trap this condition...
