Email Alert Question

Hello All,

I'm setting up an alert for a moving average cross. I've got it to work (and it does email me) however it repeats the alert. What is the way to have it send an alert and then stop. For the one alert I set up I received 11 emails.

Would the correct setting be rearm on reverse of condition?

Thank you very much for your post.

This would be controlled by the "Rearm Type" within the alert:



If set to "Never" it would never automatically rearm, whereas "On timer" and "On bar close" would cause the alert to re-enable after x seconds or when the current bar closes.

Alternatively, you may also set it to "On condition reversed". In this case, the alert would rearm when the opposite condition is true. For e.g. a "Greater or equal" trigger would reset when the value drops below the trigger.
