Display an EMA of daily prices on a 5-minute chart - Is it possible?

Hi all.

I trade commodities, using 30-minute, 10-minute and 2-minute charts.

But I would like to display an EMA based on the daily prices of those commodities.

Is this possible?

Hello,

This can be done by adding a 'hidden' daily data series to your chart and setting the indicator to that data series. Below is a video example of how this can be done:

Just a word of caution born out of my experience of using this method - I used it to get Sessions using different Trading Hours templates (so for Overnight, Day & ETH I had one visible & 2 hidden)
Long story short it was a disaster causing huge and cumulative lag to freezing.

Eventual I had to scrap the idea and achieve it programmatically.

Not saying it won’t work for your needs, it may work very well for you.

Just a ‘heads up’ to the additional load this approach can have on your workspace, depending on its’ complexity.
