Question about footprint

Hey,
When using the footprint volumetric feature, I chose base period type and Range and the value set at 7 so it creates a new box every 7 ticks it moves.
My question is if its possible to make it change box only when it changes direction, for example it will only create a new box if the price now decreases where it increased before, and on the other side if the price only increases without falling 7 ticks it will continue in the same box.

Thank you for the inquiry.

At this time we do not have a native feature that would support this. There isn't currently a way to dictate if the movement is up or down with range charts, it would just take 7 ticks of movement altogether to close the bar.
