    ConnectionLossHandling:Will Ninja Trader flatten Account Positions upon reconnection

    When using ConnectionLossHandling.Recalculate, recalculations will only occur if the strategy was stopped based on the conditions below. Should the connection be reestablished before the strategy was stopped, the strategy will continue running without recalculating as if no disconnect occurred.
    1. If data feed disconnects for longer than the time specified in DisconnectDelaySeconds, the strategy is stopped.
    2. If the order feed disconnects and the strategy places an order action while disconnected, the strategy is stopped.
    3. If both the data and order feeds disconnect for longer than the time specified in DisconnectDelaySeconds, the strategy is stopped.

    1) For the first and third cases, after the strategy is stopped, and when both the data and order feeds connections resume,
    Q1) can I assume that any outstanding Account positions at the brokerage will be flattened automatically by Ninja Trader Platform?
    Q2) If so, is it possible that Ninja Trader Platform may encounter order rejection when trying to flatten the positions upon reconnection? Or should we flatten those positions manually, either via Ninja Trader Platform or calling Brokerage directly?

    2) For the second case, if the order rejection is for closing an open Account Position,
    Q3) will the Ninja Trader Platform
    attempts to flatten the open Account Position when the order feed connection is back? Or do we need to flatten the positions manually?

    Thanks for your post.

    When a strategy is disabled due to a disconnection, the strategy will cancel entry orders and exit orders when the strategy is disabled only if you have enabled the 'Cancel entry orders when a strategy is disabled' and 'Cancel exit orders when a strategy is disabled' options in the Control Center > Tools > Options > Strategies tab.

    If you want entry and exit orders to be canceled when a strategy is disabled, please go to Control Center > Tools > Options > Strategies tab and ensure those options are checked (enabled).

    Note that if your inquiry has to do with live orders, please always reach out to your broker's Orders Desk immediately to confirm and manage your live orders and positions.
