Interactive Broker Setup

Hi

I am trying to setup my Interactive broker connection. I followed the connection setup instructions.

I am trying to pull up a chart of an S&P 500 company and I get this:

Historical market data service error message: No market data permission for AMEX STK

I am not sure how to trouble shoot this?

Hello Erik,

The error indicates you are not authorized to load the requested historical data. Can you please check the data subscriptions you have with Interactive Brokers.

Do you experience the issue for all stocks you test?

Are you able to load historical data in TWS for the stock in question?

Hi Jason,

I have no problem seeing a 15 min SPY chart (Historical Data) in the IB app. See picture:

I am seeing live data in NT, but not any historical.

NinjaTrader loads data from Interactive Brokers through the IB API - data in TWS does not. Can you please contact Interactive Brokers to enable the requested historical data through the IB API.
