Pls Update '' IB was unable to loc. ins.'' issue for ES/NQ, the prob is fixed or not?

Do we need to update gateway to 10.16 from 981.3i? but same problem continue on 10.16!!!
(by chance i checed connection guide and learnt that we need to use 10.16 not 981.3i)
Where you announce such kind of change when you make some updates on your system?

Good news,
I have succesfuly fixed the issue for ES and IB platform.
You MUST use :
1/ Offline version 981.3k of IB and 8.0.26.1 Ninjatrader.
2/ Go to Tools/Instruments then search ES , choose edit , go to Exchanges check globex , go to Symbol Map / Interactive Brokers / type ES|CME
It will update automatically all previous data.

I am still running NT8 8.0.25.0 64-bit so I do not think it is a must to be on the latest version.

I have updated only one symbol which was not working following your tip under Symbol Map / Interactive Brokers / type ES|CME. In my case it was M2K that needed updating.

How did you came up with the new symbol? Since they will change NYMEX to COMEX soon the same problem will apply there I would assume.

I fixed it.
1- Update IB gateway 10.16
2- Restart NT8 8.26
3- ES/NQ fixed, but YM broken this time although MYM was working fine
4- Instrument>YM>Edit> change YM|CBOT to YM|ECBOT

As I said previously, you MUST use IB offline version 981.3k that I use currenly. I checked version 10.xx.x.x from IB with latest version from Ninjatrader , il did not work.
for ES , type ES|CME in Symbol Map and check Globex as Exchanges
for NQ, type NQ|CME in Symbol Map and check Globex as Exchanges
for YM , type YM|ECBOT in Symbol Map and check ECBOT as Exchanges.
Voilŕ !

I am posting this because there may be another confusion on this.
Yesterday afternoon after sunday market open, I had IB symbol issues on ES and E6.
Today, after I saw messages from people who resolved the issue after editing symbol and exchange fields, I opened Ninjatrader, and to my surprise, the problem was gone by itself.
I did not change any settings and was using TWS 981.3g and NinjaTrader 8.0.25.
I can only guess that IB did something to accommodate legacy software access like this case.

I updated with the latest NinjaTrader and TWS per Ninjatrader guideline afterwards. It still works fine.

I'm now having troubles with GC. ES and NQ are confirmed fixed.

GC,MGC still have problems, neither Globex, nor Nymex works, and Comex is not available right now, so have no idea which one to use.
