Advance Margin Notification

Might not be the best place for this question, but I don't see a better forum and the chat on the NT portal says it's broken when I try to start it, so here goes...

Tried to place a trade this morning and it got rejected with a notice that the margin requirement ( intraday e-mini ) had been raised considerably. I'm going to guess this is related to today being midtern election day. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if the platform had a notification for that before you tried to place a trade and if that's not possible, some other way of being notified in advance, maybe an email or just something on the front page of the NT portal.

Currently, there are not plans to post increased margins in the platform however the information is always posted at the link below.
