set default instruments in strategy properties

hi for all

is possible to set
data series in strategy as MNQ 12-22 and time frames to 10 seconds to default

every time i loaded strategy properties most select manually the instrument and time frames

i add this code to strategy but its don’t work

Hello hamdan,

In the image you are showing the strategies properties and the Data Series it uses. That is known as the primary series of the strategy and is a manually set value which cannot be set in the strategies code.

The AddDataSeries is known as a secondary series and does need to be hard coded. If you want to use the primary instrument so that you don't need to keep changing the code you can use:

AddDataSeries(null, BarsPeriodType.Second, 100);

You will still always need to select a primary series when you apply the strategy, that is how the strategy knows what general series it will be using. You don't necessarily have to use the primary series but you will need to select one.
