Historical data for backtest.

Hi, i have a question about historial data for automatic backtest.

Is there a way to get historical data to backtest in strategy analyzer prior to May 2019? I have tried with different end dates and even with different data providers, but whatever date i put before, the backtest always starts in May 2019.

Hello,

Historical data availability would vary by instrument and connection you are using. If your data is stopping in May 2019 I suspect you are loading the micro index futures, which only began trading in 2019 so there is no more data that exists for these instruments.

Oh, okay. Indeed it was for the MES instrument, but I did not know that data. Thanks for the info.
